What challenge were you trying to address with Team 218 Web Services?
Our website was outdated and inaccurate; we weren’t able to easily update the information on it. We were looking for someone who could revamp the site, help us maintain the cleanliness of it, and do more frequent updates.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They did a complete overhaul of our website and created a new one from scratch. We now have several pages with information that we never had on there before. The project started with the design of what we wanted on the front page and how it was going to look. Also, due to COVID-19, we switched to using QR codes for our menus; Team 218 helped us link Untappd to our site so that users could easily navigate through it.
Additionally, whenever something seems off, Team 218 comes to our restaurant to make sure we have everything that our guests are looking for. We also recently added online ordering, and Team 218 helped us with the ordering platform and adding it to the website to make it cohesive.
What is the team composition?
We just work with Chuck (Web Developer).
How did you come to work with Team 218 Web Services?
I saw their work on other websites they’ve done for friends and people I’ve worked with in the past. Everyone told me that Team 218 did a great job following through and checking back in, which is what we lacked with our previous web designer. We were just looking for a good design, but these other aspects like being there for the clients no matter what were also important in choosing them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $2,500 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement started in January 2020, and it’s ongoing. Everything went live in July 2020.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been getting positive feedback from our users and guests. They like the way that the site looks, and they know that the menu they’re looking at is accurate. Our previous website had a black background with some pictures and text, so this new one is next-level for us.
Also, there’s been good feedback on the ordering part, and we can say that there’s definitely been an increase in sales and visits on the website. When you type in terms that relate to our company, we appear right at the top of Google search results.
How did Team 218 Web Services perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been awesome— I’d give them a 10 out of 10. We use Trello to communicate what’s getting done so we can always see the progress; it’s great to see things happening at the beginning stages, even if it’s part of what we don’t understand or need to know.
We use the Trello board to organize what we’re working on and what’s needed. I’ve never used Trello before, but it’s amazing to just check in and see what’s going on; I love the experience. We also use phone calls and emails for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’d say it’s how they tune into the client’s needs and wants, as well as their ability to get results. Having looked at their work, they don’t just focus on one area of business; rather, they support anyone who needs that extra bit of help. They create unique designs and output. Additionally, they really tune into each client’s individual design concepts and make it a user-friendly, fun experience.
Also, it’s like night and day compared to our previous designer experiences where if there was something happening to the site, it was impossible to get it fixed because we couldn’t get a hold of them. With Team 218, we’re able to reach out if something is going on; we know they’ll give us a response that same day, and that’s refreshing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think they have anything that they can improve; we’re so happy with them.
Any advice for potential customers?
Focus on what’s important to you about your brand and concept, and share them with Team 218. They’ll get you the results and the visibility you’re looking for. Also, the more you know about your business and are able to communicate that to them, the more unique and fun they’ll be able to make it be; that drives people to your website.
