Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS for short, is a web technology that allows you to specify the look of your site in a style sheet. This makes it possible to create a single website that looks completely different in every browser without having to worry about changing the code of the website. Why should I care about CSS? Well, for one thing, many people (including me) think it’s important. For another, it can make a world of difference when it comes to your search engine ranking. And lastly, using CSS makes it possible for you to have complete control over the look and feel of your website. How do I use CSS? CSS is a simple language. It consists of tags that tell the browser what kind of effect you want to create. These effects are called “styles”.
