What Is Destination Iowa?

Iowa is serious about attracting visitors and pulling in new residents. How serious you ask? $100 million serious! The Destination Iowa fund provides $100 million in grants to counties, cities and non-profits located in the state of Iowa.

Destination Iowa consists of four separate funds.

  1. Economically Significant Development
  2. Outdoor Recreation
  3. Tourism Attraction
  4. Creative Placemaking

The federal American Rescue Plan Act is funding Destination Iowa grants. Applications will be accepted beginning on May 9, 2022. On Friday, April 15, at 10 a.m. there will be a webinar to explain the program. Link To Webinar
