Remember to Celebrate Our Freedom
Today (July 3rd) marks the 152 year anniversary of the end of the Battle of Gettysburg. Generally acknowledged as the turning point of the Civil War. The numbers for casualties vary but an estimated 50,000 Americans died in the 3 day battle in and around Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. FIFTY THOUSAND AMERICANS DIED. We were definitely NOT civil to each other.
Today also is a day off for many Americans to recognize the July 4th holiday. Time to be spent with family and friends enjoying great Summertime activities and of course, Fireworks. Whatever your plans may be and wherever they may take you – here’s wishing you a safe and Happy 4th. And remember to celebrate the freedom this great country of ours affords us.
